How to start meditating (4 simple Ways)
Meditation is not as complicated as it might seem. Actually it’s really easy.
In the video above, I share 4 simple ways to start meditating. As well as the technique that my parents thought me when I was 10 years young.
1st way
All you need to do is focus on your breath. Inhale slowly, controlled and deeply through your nose and exhale fully through your mouth. Put your hand on your belly to feel how it expands and contracts.
If thoughts keep passing by, let them, just don’t create a thought chain out of it. Imagine you’re the train station and your thoughts are the trains. No matter how many thoughts (trains) come and go, you (the train station) is grounded and stable and in the present moment.
2nd way
Dim your room and light a candle. Inhale slowly, deeply and controlled and stare into the flame. Place your awareness solely on the flame and see how you calm down within a few seconds.
3rd way
Scan your whole body, start with your feet. Focus on one body part after the other and slowly move upwards.
4th Way
Try guided meditations. There are thousands of guided meditations on YouTube. Search for one that you feel most called to (e.g. “guided meditation for releasing negativity, feeling more love, feeling more confident” etc.)
